Abstract

(P. 469)

Two aspects of the Windmill Hill culture are to be discussed in this paper. One will be the specific problem of the function of the causewayed enclosures or 'camps' which constitute one of its characteristic earthwork structures. The other will be its role as the founder of traditions that were to survive long after its own disappearance.
